UPDATE 10 p.m.: GSP Senior Trooper Walter Spurlin confirms the driver of the gray 2001 Chevy Silverado, Charles H. Lunsford, 81, of Worth County, has also died as result of injuries sustained in the crash.
Lunsford was making a left turn on to Hwy 112 from Shingler-Sumner Road. His turn was in the path of the oncoming semi; the driver attempted to brake and avoid the truck but hit, knocking the Chevy to the east shoulder of the roadway. The semi also struck a southbound Ford pickup driven by Gregory Jacob “Jake” Williams, 23, of Worth County, sending it to the opposite shoulder where it rested beside the semi tractor. Williams died on scene.

Trooper Spurlin said today was Williams’ birthday.
